Adrian Dawson , Director

Adrian joined EKOS in July 2007 and has over fifteen years experience in the public sector in a range of capacities, having worked within Government Office for the South West and for East Riding of Yorkshire Council, and also on secondment to SWRDA. He therefore has an in depth knowledge of public sector activities, in particular in relation to regeneration, economic development and sustainable development.

Adrian has considerable experience of both delivery and strategic development of EU Programmes, having worked within the SW Objective 2 Programme secretariat for five years and advising the SWRDA on the development of the Convergence and Competitiveness Programmes. He also has a detailed working knowledge of ESF, and rural / urban regeneration, having provided expert advice to the LSC, Devon Renaissance and the South Bristol Urban II Programme.

Adrian is a recognised national expert in relation to the linkages between economic regeneration and the environment, and through his work on European Funding Programmes has also provided expert advice across Europe, including to the Hungarian Economic Development Ministry and the Maltese Ministry for Environment and Planning.
