Martin, in our Glasgow Office

To say that the day is varied is often an understatement. The day often involves working with spreadsheets, though nothing TOO complicated, thank heavens! As a research consultant I also spend a fair bit of time reviewing relevant literature and internet searching. Because I work on several projects at once the work really is varied.

Right now I’m busy working on an economic impact assessment of a new stand at a football stadium, an evaluation of Community Wardens in Scotland, a business review of the Scottish Nutrition and Diet Resources Initiative…as I said, pretty varied. I guess what makes all the difference is the atmosphere in the office itself, the people. It’s easy for companies to talk about a friendly atmosphere and helpful staff, but here in Glasgow it really is the case. Working with a small team you always know your colleagues really well and I must say I do get on with all of them very well indeed.

Having the chance to travel about a bit is also a real benefit.
