The Exeter team specialises in appraisal and evaluation of economic development projects, development of strategy and policy and socio-economic research. Much of Exeter’s work is carried out on behalf the South West Regional Development Agency (SWRDA) and other organisations working to a similar agenda. The team has particular expertise in Learning and Skills, both in terms of research and in development of policy and strategy. The Exeter team played a major role in the early development of the South West Regional Skills Partnership and has worked for the Learning and Skills Council at national, regional and sub-regional level. They have also worked with a number of coastal and rural regeneration initiatives. The staff in Exeter have a wide range of backgrounds and experience including statistics and research, project management, environmental science, engineering and visual and the performing arts.
