Manchester Local Plans
Working in some of the most deprived parts of Manchester we have been engaged to prepare wide ranging regeneration plans to improve the economic and social fortunes of neighbourhoods. Despite significant investment in the physical environment and economy of Manchester, much of the city continues to experience high levels of economic and social exclusion which in some cases has been embedded in communities for generations.
By examining locally specific baseline conditions and talking to partners, we have prepared local plans that establish detailed priorities for intervention. The local plans have been developed to draw down priorities from the Strategic Regeneration Frameworks that cover larger areas of the city, to ensure that local circumstances are addressed whilst contributing to wider objectives for the city.
The local plans ensure that challenges facing areas are overcome whilst allowing neighbourhoods to exploit their advantages, including proximity to the city centre, the national motorway network and major employers such as Manchester Airport.
