Identifying appropriate support measures for the Construction sector in Scotland

The brief: We have been commissioned to carry out a major research study identifying appropriate support measures for the Construction Sector in Scotland to 2020. The outcomes form the study will be used to support and influence Scottish Enterprise’s Priority Industries Strategy for Construction

The study builds on our wide ranging experience of the skills and business development issues for the Construction sector. As part of the study we are carrying out a strategic mapping exercise to identify support measures currently in place across the UK. This is being followed up with set of detailed consultation with business development support providers to identify leading edge practice and successful projects. The study will make a set of recommendations on additional support measures that could be introduced to Scotland, and which could have a significant impact on the performance of the sector.
