Economic Development Experiences of the Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) Communities in South Yorkshire

The Brief: To evaluate the economic development experiences of BME communities within the South Yorkshire sub-region.

We examined the types of structures required at borough and sub-regional level to change the way in which policies and services of other organisations are delivered to BME groups; the ways of maximising mainstream resources to best meet the needs of these communities; the types of changes key institutions and communities need to make in order to improve economic participation of BME communities and the types of interventions required within communities to facilitate mainstreaming.
