Project Appraisals, Transform South Yorkshire

We carried out technical appraisals of Transform South Yorkshire’s housing based regeneration projects over a two-year period. We developed guidance for applicants and facilitated workshops to assist applicants to understand appraisal requirements and enhance the robustness of their submissions. The study covered four key areas – socio economic analysis of the two regions, programme strategy review, a review of outputs, results and impacts and a systems process review identified what has worked well and what has been less successful. The system was hailed as best practice by the Audit Commission in their first full scale review of Pathfinders.
