ACTION & DELIVERY PLANS
In a number of instances, short and long term secondments have been provided to provide clients with a dedicated service. This has involved part time and full time support, at senior level, involving interim Managers and Directors for key functions. A feature of this strand of work has been the long term nature of assignments, allowing a close working relationship to build up.
In 2005, we worked with Manchester City Council to prepare a long term regeneration strategy for Central Manchester.
The wards located immediately to the south of Manchester City Centre are the most deprived in England. With the strategy agreed, the City Council were keen to keep the momentum going and get all agencies to establish more effective ways of working together in order to accelerate progress towards the vision and objectives in the strategy. A three year delivery plan was prepared jointly between us and the City Council Regeneration Team which sets out a number of priority interventions or ways of working which can add value to mainstream and other activity. The Plan will be a key tool for the Regeneration Team in holding colleagues across a number City Council departments , as well as partner agencies, to account for the effective delivery of key actions and the monitoring of changes in the area.
