In a continued competitive funding environment only the most compelling propositions will secure investment. ekosgen’s approach is based on economic analysis, in-depth experience of appraisal methodology and an ability to present evidence in a way that meets the requirements of highly competitive funding streams such as ERDF, ESF and City and Growth Deal. From the point at which a project is conceived, this means extensive feasibility testing, options assessment, and the development of a robust business case and/or funding application that can stand the test of time.
The company has a diverse range of clients in both the public and private sectors that we work with to shape their proposals and secure external funding or investment. Our close working relationships with clients mean that on some commissions we work collaboratively with a client team to develop a submission whereas on others ekosgen take lead drafting responsibility. Support can involve developing business cases, undertaking primary research, market testing, appraising options, assessing risks, modelling finances, and quantifying outcomes and impacts.
The ekosgen team regularly produces Green Book compliant business cases (increasingly a requirement of funders) and has a successful track record of securing investment for our clients across a range of project types including research and innovation facilities, education facilities, enterprise centres, cultural facilities and programmes of support and employability initiatives. Our knowledge of UK and EU funding programmes means that we ensure that any bid we work on is given the best possible chance of success.
