Patrick Gulliver is a Director based in our London office. He is a highly experienced economic development consultant and practice leader with over 24 years of track record in economic development and regeneration. Patrick has developed a range of specialisms including: economic masterplanning and strategy, comprehensive urban regeneration strategies, impact assessment, programme and policy evaluation, labour market assessments, sector studies, business and enterprise support, innovation and the knowledge economy. Much of his work involves assessing the economic potential of areas and devising economic and physical strategies to unlock growth as well as gaining a better understanding of the interrelated requirements for infrastructure, employment land, sites, premises and housing.
Patrick led the UK’s first economic masterplan in Sheffield and led on an assessment of economic impacts of the London 2012 Olympic Legacy Masterplan. He has also led several large projects to assess the wider economic benefits of transport infrastructure including HS1, HS2 Stations in Sheffield, and Cross Rail Options in Hackney. Patrick has undertaken many in-depth sector studies focussing on ICT/Digital, Life Science, Advanced Manufacturing and Financial Services.
Patrick has a strong and current international track record in regional economic planning including developing economic growth and diversification strategies and includes projects in numerous locations in the United States, the Middle East, the Far East and Southern China.
